Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 28/05/2025
Welcome to EduCore!
These Terms and Conditions set out the rules and expectations for the use of our services, including tutoring, homeschooling support, and educational programmes. By enrolling your child with EduCore or using our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
Please read this document carefully. It explains how we operate, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you as a parent or guardian. If you have any questions, please get in touch using the contact details at the end of this page.
EduCore reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated to you directly.
1. Description of Services
EduCore delivers in-person tuition in a home-based learning environment, focusing on small-group education for students in Years 7 to 11. Our core subjects include English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Our programmes are structured to align with the Key Stage 3 (KS3) National Curriculum and to prepare students for the Edexcel International GCSE (IGCSE) examinations. All tuition aims to support academic progress in a safe and supportive small-group setting.
2. Enrolment
To enrol your child with EduCore:
Complete the registration form and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Pay a one-time registration fee of £25 at enrolment.
EduCore reserves the right to assess each application to ensure our programmes are a good fit before confirming a place.
Please provide accurate and complete information, including any special educational needs or support requirements, so we can offer appropriate guidance.
3. Tuition Fees & Payment Terms
Tuition fees are payable monthly in advance, on or before the first day of each month, via the agreed payment method (e.g., bank transfer, cheque).
Fees include the cost of tuition, lesson materials, assessments, and progress reports.
Exam entry fees are not included and must be arranged and paid directly by parents/guardians to the relevant examination centres.
Late payments may incur a surcharge and/or temporary suspension of services until the account is settled.
Cancellations require a minimum of four (4) weeks’ written notice. Fees remain payable during this notice period, and no refunds will be issued for lessons already delivered.
EduCore reserves the right to review and adjust tuition fees, with any changes communicated at least 30 days in advance.
4. Attendance & Conduct
Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions punctually and come prepared with the necessary materials and mindset to enable effective learning.
EduCore promotes a respectful and supportive learning environment. Any disruptive, disrespectful, or abusive behaviour—from students or parents/guardians—may lead to suspension or termination of services without refund.
Parents/guardians must notify EduCore in advance of any planned absences or delays. Persistent or unexplained absences may affect your child’s progress and standing in the programme.
5. Health, Safety & Safeguarding
EduCore is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all students.
We follow appropriate safeguarding procedures to protect the welfare of your child while in our care.
Parents/guardians must inform EduCore of any health conditions, allergies, or special requirements prior to enrolment and keep us updated as necessary.
In the event of any health or safety concern during sessions, EduCore reserves the right to take appropriate action, including contacting emergency services or parents as needed.
6. Complaints Procedure
EduCore strives to provide high-quality education and service. If you have any concerns or complaints, please contact us promptly so we can address the issue.
Complaints should be submitted in writing (email or letter), detailing the nature of the concern.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it as quickly and fairly as possible.
If you are not satisfied with our response, we will make every effort to resolve any remaining concerns directly with you.
7. Withdrawal & Refund Policy
To withdraw your child from EduCore, please provide four (4) weeks’ written notice as per the cancellation terms.
Tuition fees remain payable during the notice period.
EduCore does not offer refunds for lessons already delivered or fees paid in advance outside the notice period.
In exceptional circumstances (such as serious illness or relocation), please contact us directly to discuss possible arrangements on a case-by-case basis.
8. Teaching & Assessment
EduCore follows the Key Stage 3 (KS3) National Curriculum and the Edexcel International GCSE (IGCSE) syllabus for all relevant subjects.
Students receive ongoing assessment, regular feedback, and structured exam preparation to support their academic development.
While every effort is made to help students succeed, EduCore does not guarantee specific exam results, as outcomes depend on individual effort, consistent attendance, and external examination conditions beyond our control.
Parents/guardians are expected to support their child’s learning by ensuring regular attendance, punctuality, completion of assignments, and communication with EduCore regarding any issues affecting progress.
Students are expected to engage actively in lessons, complete assigned work to the best of their ability, and follow tutor guidance to reach their academic goals.
